Trailing 2-0 to Dassel, the Hutchinson 16s VFW team plated a run in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning to prevail 5-3 in a sub-district playoff Thursday in Glencoe.

Jaedon Scott picked up the win on the mound, allowing one earned run over seven innings.

Post 906 will play Springfield at 9 a.m. Saturday at Vollmer Field in Glencoe. The winner advances to the championship game, and a spot in next weekend's district playoffs in Green Isle.

Wes Corrigan will start on the mound. He was victorious against Springfield earlier this summer, 8-5.

Following a Joe Wheatley line out, Scott got the rally going in the fifth inning with a double down the left field line. Mike Lauer continued the inning with a single to center and moved to second on the throw. After an intentional walk to Nick Betker, Jackson Hallahan plated the tying run with a bunt single.
