I keep a list of Hutch kids in collegiate sports that I follow each week. I haven't had a chance to revise it for a few weeks, but as of right now, here is what I have. If anybody knows of anyone I'm missing, please let me know.

Football
Eric Schmeling – Ridgewater College – 2009 (???)
Dan Kurth – Ridgewater College – 2009 (???)
* I can't find their 2008 roster. I have e-mailed the coach.

Nate Swift – University of Nebraska – 2009
Lydon Murtha – University of Nebraska – 2009
* The Cornhuskers won 47-24 over Wester Michigan in Bo Pelini's Nebraska debut. Swift caught two touchdown passes and led the team with five catches for 121 yards. Murtha sat out with a day-to-day injury.

Swift caught a career-long 61-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. His previous career long was 49 yards against Troy in 2006. Swift added a two-yard TD catch later in the second quarter. Tonight marked the fourth time in Swift’s career he has had two touchdowns in a game and his 14 career touchdown receptions rank in a tie for fourth on the Husker career list.

Swift finished the game with five receptions for 121 yards, marking his fifth career 100-yard receiving game, tying Irving Fryar for second place on that list, trailing Johnny Rodgers’ total of 10, 100-yard receiving games.

Randy Erickson – Southwest MN State University – 2012
* Along with Brownton native and G-SL grad Bud Sanken, both made their SMSU debuts Saturday in a 54-14 win over Minnesota-Crookston. Erickson assisted on two tackles, while Sanken caught one pass for seven yards and returned an onside kick four yards.

Tony Mortensen – University of Minnesota – 2009
* Mortensen is one of two backup quarterbacks for the Gophers behind Adam Weber. Minnesota won its opener over Northern Illinois, 31-27, Saturday.

Brian Renkes - Bemidji State University - 2012
* Beavers won 27-24 in opener Saturday - Renkes, who is listed as a defensive back, could be redshirted.

Brian Albrecht - St. Olaf College - 2012
Joe Schlueter - St. Olaf College - 2012
Shea Corrigan - St. Olaf College - 2012
* St. Olaf opens the season at Luther (Iowa) at 1 p.m. Saturday. The Oles return home the following two weekends.

Jack Daggett - St. John’s University - 2012
* The No. 5 Johnnies open at home against East Texas Baptist at Clemens Stadium at 1 p.m. Saturday. Daggett is listed as a defensive lineman.

Bill Moritz - Carleton College - 2012
* Moritz is one of two punters on the roster (he is actually listed as a WR). Last year the Knights had a defensive lineman punt the ball. Carleton doesn't play until a road game at Cornell (Iowa) College Sept. 13.

Volleyball
Amanda Polzin – University of North Dakota – 2010
* The Sioux went 4-0 in a tournament out in California this season. It is the first season as a DI program for North Dakota.

Laci Murtha – University of Mary – 2011
* Murtha had a career-high 15 kills in a match this weekend. The Maruaders went 0-4 on the weekend.

Kim Hacker - Bemidji State University - 2012
* Hacker had six kills playing in three matches as the Beavers went 3-1 in a tournament in Las Vegas this weekend.

Brittany Stamer - Minnesota State University-Mankato - 2012
* Stamer did not travel out to Colorado with the Mavericks this weekend and will likely redshirt.

Ashley Maher - University of St. Thomas - 2012
* Maher made the team, which is ranked No. 8 in DIII. She is playing junior varsity and suiting for varsity.

Cross Country
Amanda Dettman – MSU-Mankato – 2010
