My crazy theroy. Remember reading in your history book about Nikola Tesla making a big tower that sent electricity from one point to another point wirelessly through the air transmission? Some say his machine created the Tunguska Explosion in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. Humm no one knows, If tesla knew himself. He defentely wouldn't of said anything. LOL This is where Tesla's tower comes in. Now today some people own electric battery operated cars. Only problem is they need to be recharged after 250 miles of driving. Sounds crazy but I have a list of things that needs to be changed on these cars that can use Tesla Wardenclyffe Tower. The charging period would last 5 miles on each side of the tower. Total of about 10.6 miles of charging time. If the battery can handle it, it would be charged to about half to three-quaters full, depends how fast you drive passed the tower. (tower wouldn't be as big as Tesla's) If the battery could handle it, you could boost the tower voltage for a faster charge. You could place a tower along the road every 100 miles if you wanted too. The Wardenclyffe Tower is capable of transfering 50,000 volts through the air. So with that said a few changes to a car's charging system, not hard to do. The tower it's self voltage would need to reduced to 300-500 volts. At user's end (some voltage lost through the air transmission. (like a long coaxial cable for your tv), doable. One setback of such a device if ever made is the possiblity of seeing a small lightning bolt shot from a car antenna. Wouldn't be all the time just here and there. If the antenna is on the roof chances are you would only see it at night. Rain can reduce the charging voltage and cause other things I have not full thought out yet on paper. Weather can play a factor, but on a good day it would work good. My guess if there was heavy rain or mist. The tower voltage could be raised a bit to compensate. I have went over the idea of someone getting electrocuted. If the car built right, it will be the only thing that will attract electricity. So should be able to touch the car anywhere, except the antenna. I'm still picking up bits and pieces in Tesla's notes on the tower and what effects it has in weather conditions such as snow. I know he was going to design a few to power cities wirelessly sort of say. I have not found anything in his notes as for RF transmissions or anything. Possibility of interfering with certain radio & tv frequencies. It's a neat idea, will it ever happen? Doubt it but who knows. I know the changes and building such a thing will not be cheap at first.
