Sometimes kids don’t understand everything they see on the news. Sometimes tragedy doesn’t make sense.

Challenged by four of their schoolmates, students of New Discoveries Montessori Academy in Hutchinson are collecting pennies and other coins to aid the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

Almost 150 middle school Mathletes from 22 schools, including Hutchinson Middle School and and New Century Charter School, will gather at the Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Feb.
